Mega Match Day Roadshow-new date.
THE Carling Premiership is set for another positive boost with the launch of the exciting Carling Premiership Mega Matchdays Roadshows in conjunction with Downtown Radio and Cool FM.
The Irish FA and Carling have joined with the radio stations to promote the Premiership and create an exciting and entertaining atmosphere at local grounds for fans. Downtown Radio and Cool FM will be touring Premiership grounds over the next few months providing music and entertainment, as well as competitions and giveaways.
The roadshow entertainment provided by Downtown Radio/Cool FM kicks-off an hour prior to the match. Following the final whistle, post-match entertainment will be provided by Carling in the Dungannon Swifts Club Rooms with more giveaways, and keepy-uppy competitions with some Dungannon Swifts players.
The Carling Premiership Mega Matchdays roadshow arrives at Dungannon Swifts FC on Saturday 27th February 2010, along with Downtown Radio at Stangmore Park. Dungannon will play Glentoran F.C. in the Carling Premiership KO 3pm.
Aisling Duffy, Carling Marketing Manager, said: “At Carling we are passionate about the local game, and are completely focused on getting as many people along to support their local team as possible. The Carling Mega Matchdays will be a day of fun, football and a bit of healthy competition taking place at each of the Carling Premiership clubs both at half-time, and post match with the players.
If you haven’t been along to a game for a while, check out the date of your club’s Mega Matchday, and come along.”
Jack Grundie, Chairman of the Premiership Committee, is excited by the latest initiative for fans: “The roadshows are a great way to boost the profile of the clubs and the Premiership, and they will also generate a fun and entertaining atmosphere at each of the grounds.
I’m very pleased that Downtown Radio and Cool FM have backed this initiative and am thankful for their ongoing support for local football. The standard of football is impressive and continues to go from strength to strength, and I think most people who haven’t been to a game recently would be pleasantly surprised by the level of competition on the pitch. I would encourage anyone who hasn’t been to a Carling Premiership match to go to a Mega Matchday, soak up the atmosphere and enjoy a great day of football. The Carling Premiership Mega Matchdays are in addition to the ‘Carling Presents an evening of Legends’ series. The Legends evenings are a series of events held at each Premiership club where fans will have the opportunity to rub shoulders with club legends and current stars for a memorable evening of football banter and backchat.
